Villa Chiara e Lorenzo is situated in the heart of scenic Tuscany, and is surrounded by rolling hills, olive trees, and picturesque hill towns. There are activities available to suit everyone--- from hiking and bicycling, to mountain climbing and swimming. Every effort is made to accommodate all of our guests' interests.  
When you stay at Villa C & L, you will be afforded the unique opportunity of having your hosts as your personal tour guides. As lifetime residents of the area, we are able to show you aspects of local life that big tours in noisy cities simply can't. We will coordinate local activities and day trips at your request. Below are just a few of the most requested day trips from guests of the villa:
1- Pisa

Pisa is a lovely city filled with historic and artistic treasures. Its most popular destination for tourists is the Piazza del Duomo, where the Duomo sits alongside the Baptistery and the world famous Leaning Tower.
2- Cinque Terre (Five Lands)

The Cinque Terre is a lovely coastal area between Genoa and Portofino. It comprises five picturesque cliffside towns that for centuries were unapproachable by land. Each town offers an exquisite panoramic view.

 

       

 

3-Tuscan wine production and tasting

Half-day tours of local vineyards, tours of the Chianti Classico region, as well as full  day tours of the Montalcino area where the famous Brunello wines are produced.  In the winter months, it is possible to visit the Hot Springs, Etruscan cities, the Marble area, or ancient monasteries, with your host as your guide.  In October, you can see the wine production and in November the olive oil production.
